The South Korean electronics brand LG has officially showcased the world’s first truly stretchable display and the same is capable to expand from 12 to 18 inches with full RGB color. LG has showcased the prototype and the same features a 12-inch screen and the same can stretch to 18 inches. It is also capable to maintain a high resolution of 100 pixels per inch and full RGB color. The new display technology of the company can truly transform, twist, and stretch into various shapes. This new innovation is actually opening doors to a plethora of various new applications across diverse sectors.
It is also said that the prototype can be able to survive repeated stretching up to 10,000 times and the display features a micro-LED light source measuring just 40 micrometers. Apart from the capability of stretching, the newly announced innovative display is thin, lightweight, and can adhere to curved surfaces, such as clothing or skin.
We don’t have any idea about the availability of the new display in commercial market but we believe that the same could arrive very soon.
