It is officially announced that the popular smartphone maker OnePlus and the very popular telecom operator of India Reliance Jio has collaborated to test 5G network slicing at their recently introduced 5G innovation lab in India. This will be enhancing 5G experience in the country.
The new setup is actually tested on the latest OnePlus Nord 4 smartphone and the integration allowed a successful conduct tests on 5G network slicing technology. If you are not aware about the 5G network slicing solutions then it is a technology that will be dividing a single physical 5G network into multiple virtual networks, and each will be optimised for specific use cases or applications.
It is worth mentioning that the virtual networks, or “slices,” can be customised with different features including speed, bandwidth, security, and reliability.
