This will give an upper hand to Oppo in the AI game.
Oppo has confirmed that it will have strategic partners and Google, Microsoft, and MediaTek are a key pillar. Oppo will be integrated Google’s Gemini family of large language models (LLMs) in its upcoming flagship smartphone to enable features including AI Writer and AI Recording Summary.
Microsoft will be offering its expertise in voice and text conversion. The users of the device can able to use the benefit of Microsoft Fast Transcriptionn and improved voice assistant interactions with Neural TTS. The partnership will also bring Desktop Copilot that will enable users to generate content, translate text, and search information on their smartphones through a connected PC.
The collaboration with MediaTek will be focusing on hardware optimization. Chipsets with dedicated AI processing units (NPUs).
