The chipset comes with the company’s own Oryon CPU cores, and the chipset maker has updated the naming scheme to match the ARM-based X Elite chips which are used in high-end laptops. The newly announced Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset is built on TSMC’s 3nm process and the Qualcomm Oryon CPU features a 64-bit architecture with the prime core clocked up to 4.32 GHz. The performance cores of the mobile processor clocked up to 3.53 GHz and the processor is powered by Qualcomm’s Adreno GPU as well as Hexagon NPU.
It also supports up to 48MP triple camera at 30fps with zero shutter lag, and the chipset also supports up to 108MP single camera, it also supports up to 320MP megapixel photo capture and features the capability to capture 8K HDR videos at 60 fps as well as 4K at 120fps.
The newly announced Snapdragon 8 Elite mobile processor supports dual-channel LP-DDR5x memory, up to 5.3GHz, UFS 4.0 storage, and up to 24GB RAM. The chipset also has 40 percent Adreno GPU performance and the company has introduced the mobile processor with mobile-first support for Unreal Engine 5.3.
