The popular mobile chipset maker Qualcomm has officially introduced its new processor called the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 and the same will be powering budget smartphones over the coming days. The newly announced Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 processor is integrated with the Snapdragon 5G Modem-RF System, and the processor comes with Qualcomm Kryo CPU, 64-bit Architecture, 2 Performance cores up to 2 GHz, and it also comes with 6 Efficiency cores up to 1.8 GHz. The processor also comes with Adreno GPU, and it also features OpenGL ES 3.2, OpenCL 2.0, Vulkan 1.1 as well as Hardware-accelerated H.265. The processor also supports VP9 decoder.
It also supports Spectra Image Signal Processor which supports dual 12-bit ISPs, Up to 16 MP + 16 MP dual camera with 30 fps Zero Shutter Lag along with up to 32 MP single camera with 30 fps Zero Shutter Lag, it also features up to 84 MP photo capture, 1080p single video capture at 60 fps, 1080p dual video capture at 30 fps, Slow-motion video capture 720p at 120 fps, and Video Image Stabilization, Face detection.
The latest Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 processor also features Qualcomm Aqstic audio codec along with Qualcomm Aqstic smart speaker amplifier, and Qualcomm aptX Adaptive audio at 96 kHz. The processor is capable to offer FHD+ at 90 Hz display. It also supports LP-DDR4x memory along with up to 2133 MHz and UFS 3.1 2-Lane.
It also supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ Technology and the processor comes with features like GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, NavIC, QZSS, Dual-frequency GNSS (L1 + L5), Qualcomm Sensor-Assisted Positioning, Vehicular and pedestrian navigation accuracy. The processor also comes with the platform security foundations, Trusted Execution Environment, and services like Qualcomm Trusted Execution Environment (TEE), Qualcomm wireless edge services (WES), and Qualcomm Attestation Services for connectivity.
