Qualcomm Announces Snapdragon 7c+ Gen 3 Computer Platform for entry-level laptops in the market. As the name suggests, this is the next version of the Snapdragon 7c Gen 2.
The Snapdragon 7c+ Gen 3 is powered by a 6nm process and claims to offer 60% faster CPU performance and up to 70% faster GPU performance.
It also supports 5G connectivity for 6GHz and mmWave with Snapdragon X53 5G modem-RF for download speeds of up to 3.7Gbps. Thanks to the Qualcomm FastConnect 6900, it offers speeds of up to 2.9Gbps on Wi-Fi 6 and 6E.
The Snapdragon 7c+ Gen 3 comes with triple cameras up to 22 megapixels, dual cameras up to 36 megapixels and 22 megapixels, single camera up to 64 megapixels and Qualcomm Spectra ISP supporting 4K HDR video capture.
It also has a Qualcomm AI engine that enables AI-enhanced experiences with 6.5 tops performance. Qualcomm Voice Suite supports AI-based Echo-cancellation and Voice Suppression (ECNS) to provide clear audio.
It also supports modern video streaming services like Microsoft PlayReady 3.0. Qualcomm says improved connectivity on the Snapdragon 7c + Gen 3 will enable entry-tier faster and more efficient laptops that have always been connected to Windows PCs and Chromebooks.
Devices powered by Snapdragon 7c+ Gen 3 are expected to launch in the first half of 2022.
