Google is gearing up to launch the highly anticipated Google Pixel 9 series on August 13 and the smartphone series will be official on August 14 in India. It is worth mentioning that the company is expected to launch the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL and Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold devices in India which means the entire smartphone series will not be launched in the country.
Google devices are usually exclusive on Flipkart but now we got a new piece of information that says the devices will be available in other stores in India as well. So Google has expanded its availability to more channels in the country and that is pretty great.
The Google devices will be available through Reliance Digital and Croma along with Flipkart in the country. We can also expect some interesting offers and discounts through the channels.
It is expected that the upcoming Google Pixel 9 Pro XL will come with a 6.8-inch OLED display with 2992 x 1344 pixels resolution and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits, it is also said to be protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The device will come with the power of the Tensor G4 chip and M2 security chip, it will also come with 16 GB of RAM and storage options ranging from 128 GB to 1 TB. The upcoming smartphone is expected to run on Android 14 out of the box and it will be upgraded to Android 15 expected soon after launch.
Google is expected to launch the device with a 42 MP front camera along with a 50 MP primary sensor, a 48 MP ultrawide lens, and a 48 MP periscope telephoto lens on the back with 5x optical zoom. The device is expected to house a 5,060mAh battery with 45W wired and wireless charging support.
The company will also integrate the Google Gemini AI and the same will be offering smart tools like Pixel Studio for creating images, an AI-powered Weather App, a Reimagine feature for photo editing, and Screenshot Search.
