The Mountain View company Google will be launching its 9th generation flagship smartphone series on August 13 and the smartphone series will include the Google Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold. We already came across multiple reports regarding the upcoming smartphone series and today the upcoming Google Pixel 9 Pro XL smartphone appears online with full specification details along with the pricing information.
According to the latest information, the upcoming Google Pixel 9 Pro XL will feature a 6.8-inch OLEDD panel along with 2992 x 1344 pixels resolution and 3,000 nits of peak brightness. The display is also reported to be protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
The upcoming Google Pixel 9 Pro XL will be powered by the Tensor G4 mobile processor along with the M2 security chip. The device will also feature 16 GB of RAM, 128 GB / 256 GB / 512 GB / 1 TB of storage, and it will be running on the Android 14 operating system out of the box and the device is said to receive the Android 15 upgrade later.
Speaking about the camera department, the upcoming Google Pixel 9 Pro XL will be coming with a 42-megapixel front facing camera with an f/2.2 aperture while the back panel of the device will feature a 50-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.68 aperture, a 48-megapixel ultrawide lens with an f/1.7 aperture and a 123-degree FOV, and a 48-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with an f/2.8 aperture and 5x optical zoom.
Unfortunately, the source does not reveal the battery capacity and the charging speed of the upcoming Google Pixel 9 Pro XL. However, it was previously reported to house a large 5,060mAh battery with 45W wired charging. It is also expected to support wireless charging.
Apart from that, the company will be integrating Google Gemini AI in the device along with Pixel Studio which will enable you to create unique images with artificial intelligence while the AI-powered Weather App and the same will offer weather updates along with outfit suggestions. The device will also come with Reimagine feature and the same will enable you to convert objects into photos, and Screenshot Search enables simple retrieval of screenshots.
It is reported that the 128 GB and 256 GB variants of the device will come with a price tag of $1,099 and $1,199, respectively. If you purchase the 256 GB variant during pre-orders then you will be getting a free storage upgrade to 512 GB.
