MediaTek Dimensity 9400 Features
The new processor features 8th Generation NPU. It comes with a new features like on-device LoRA training and high-quality on-device video generation. Moreover, MediaTek’s new Dimensity Agentic AI Engine (DAE) comes with enhanced capacity.
The company has included a 12-core Arm Immortalis-G925 GPU for the game lovers which supports faster performance than the previous version. The product is packed with opacity micromaps (OMM) with improved visual effects. It helps with 44% power savings.
The Dimensity 9400 has the support of a strong Arm Cortex-X925 core running at over 3.62GHz. Moreover, it houses Cortex-X4 cores and four Cortex-A720 cores. The company claims configuration is 35% faster single-core and 28% faster multi-core performance while compared to the former processor. It is packed with TSMC’s second-generation 3nm process which is expected to be up to 40% more power-efficient and more battery life.
The processor features the MediaTek Imagiq 1090, making it possible to HDR video recording throughout the entire zoom range. Shooting video of the moving thing is easy with Smooth Zoom technology. It uses less power during the recording of videos.
The processor offers a refreshed 3GPP Release-17 5G modem with 4CC-CA. It has a capacity of up to 7Gbps sub-6GHz performance. It houses a 4nm Wi-Fi/Bluetooth combo chip. MediaTek Xtra RangeTM 3.0 improves Wi-Fi coverage by up to 30 meters. The processor features 5G/4G Dual SIM Dual Active.
The devices packed with MediaTek Dimensity 9400 will be introduced by Q4 2024. The major smartphones that come with the latest chipset will be Vivo X200, X200 Pro, and X200 Pro Mini.
