Before explaining about 5.5G, I would like to tell about something which will help you to relate the new connectivity option very easily. We all are familiar with the existing 4G LTE network and the same is actually the advanced version of the 4G connectivity which offers better speed and latency. The same set up is implemented with the 5.5G.
The latest 5.5G is built upon the standard 5G network, and the latest generation is offering the improvements to reduce the latency and increase speed in a significant manner. The newly announced 5.5G network is believed to bring massive improvements over the standard 5G network and the same can able to provide a download speed of up to 10Gbps, and the upload speed can reach up to 1Gbps. Impressive, isn’t it?
Moreover, the latest 5.5G will be reducing the gap between 6G and we can able to experience more faster and improved connectivity. Now let’s check out the availability details of the latest 5.5G network.
It is worth mentioning that the network is already started to be available in China and China Mobile is the first to announce the latest 5.5G rollout. We need to wait for the same in India and Airtel as well as Jio are in the final round of the expansion of 5G connectivity across the country.
We can’t guarantee that all 5G enabled devices can support the latest 5.5G network and the final compatibility list will be revealed later this year, and only time will tell who will receive it and who will not.
Having said that, the latest Oppo Find X7 series is believed to be comfortable with the latest 5.5G network. The list of compatible devices will also include the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, OnePlus 12, Xiaomi 14 series, and Vivo X100 Pro.
