All the numbers translate to 3x better processing performance and up to 5x better graphics performance when compared to the competing Windows laptops and computers. With the integrated SoC, users could see instant wake from sleep like the iOS devices and instant app launch. This also results in 2x times faster animations as well. If you are wondering about the apps and program compatibility, all machines running macOS Big Sur powered by the Apple M1 Chip will have universal support for apps designed natively and for Intel-powered Macs. All macOS apps are designed to be running smoothly on M1 powered machines and the company has announced that the development by Adobe among others is already underway and will be ready in no time. Now you will also be able to run apps designed for iOS on Macs too. Lastly, the Rosetta 2 will make sure any apps designed for Intel machines will run smoother on the new Macs.

2. Indian Government to Regulate OTT and Digital News Platforms
The Central Government of India has brought Over The Top (OTT) and Digital News platforms under its jurisdiction. Now OTT platforms or video streaming service providers such as Netflix, Amazon Prime and others have come under the regulation of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
Until now there was no law to overlook the online content providers and media. Last year the Central Government had raised concerns over the fact that these providers are left unchecked and asked them to form a self-regulatory body on the lines of the News Broadcasters Standard Authority. Following this, eight video streaming services signed on a regulatory code that says, the OTT platforms were prohibited to show content that deliberately and maliciously disrespects the national emblem or national flag, any visual or story line that promotes child pornography, any content that “maliciously” intends to outrage religious sentiments, content that “deliberately and maliciously” promotes or encourages terrorism and, lastly, any content that has been banned for exhibition or distribution by law or court.
