Xiaomi has confirmed to launch the new Xiaomi 15 Series in China on October 29 which will include the vanilla variant and the Pro variant. However, the smartphone series will also include an Ultra variant that will be announced next year. Today the renders of the device leaked online which reveals the design language. Going through the newly leaked renders, we can see that the device will feature a large camera module on the back and the same is similar to its predecessor. But the camera placement within the module stands out for its asymmetrical lens design.
The source says that the top camera of the device will be the highlight element this year. It is a 200-megapixel, 4.3x zoom periscope telephoto lens. It seems that the sensor is Samsung’s ISOCELL HP9. The camera module also has three lenses that are arranged horizontally — a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel ultrawide sensor, and a 50-megapixel 2x telephoto sensor. It is reported that the front camera of the device will be a 32 megapixel sensor.
It is expected that the upcoming Xiaomi 15 Ultra smartphone will be coming with a 6.7-inch, 120Hz LTPO OLED display with micro-curved edges and the device will feature an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.
The upcoming device is also believed to come in three material finishes including plain leather, fiberglass, or ceramic. The device will be coming with the power of the latest and greatest Snapdragon 8 Elite mobile processor along with a 6,000mAh battery with support for 90W wired and 80W wireless charging. It will be running on the latest HyperOS 2.0, based on Android 15.
