Motorola has officially introduced its new folding devices dubbed the Moto Razr 50 and Moto Razr 50 Ultra in the market of China and the devices feature large cover displays. The newly announced Moto Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra are clamshell foldable devices and they feature a 6.9-inch FlexView pOLED display along with an FHD+ resolution and Dolby Vision. The vanilla variant comes with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2,600 nits. On the other hand, the ultra variant features an LTPO refresh rate of 165Hz and the peak brightness maxes out at 3,000 nits.
Coming to the secondary display of the devices, the Ultra variant features a large 4 inch pOLED panel with 165Hz LTPO refresh rate along with a 1080p resolution and HDR10+ support. While the Moto Razr 50 features a 3.6 inch cover display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The cover display of both devices feature Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The cover display of both devices can be used for various purposes including watching videos, navigation, and more.
Speaking about the camera department, the latest Moto Razr 50 series features a 50MP main camera with OIS and the Ultra variant comes with a 50MP 2x telephoto lens while the vanilla variant has a 13MP ultra-wide-angle sensor. Both phones feature a 32MP front facing camera.
The new Moto Razr 50 series comes with the fifth-generation star track hinge along with a 6000 series aviation-grade aluminium frame. The devices feature IPX8 ratings for water-resistance and they come with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Under the hood, the latest Moto Razr 50 is powered by a Dimensity 7300X processor while the Moto Razr 50 Ultra comes with the power of the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC. Both phones come with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. The latest Moto Razr 50 Ultra is backed by a 4,000mAh battery with 44W wired and 15W wireless charging. On the other hand, the vanilla variant houses a 4,200mAh battery along with 33W wired and 15W wireless charging. The Moto Razr 50 series runs on the Android 14 operating system out of the box. Regarding the connectivity options, the devices feature 5G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth, and USB-C port, among others.
Regarding the pricing and availability, the pricing of the Moto Razr 50 starts at CNY 3,699 while the Ultra variant has a starting price of CNY 5,699.
