The popular chipset maker Qualcomm is gearing up to launch the new Snapdragon X Elite and the same is meant for the PC. It is expected to be announced during the upcoming event of the company which will be starting on October 24 and today the full specification details of the chipset appear online. It is reported that the upcoming Snapdragon X Elite will feature Hexagon NPU which offers 45 trillion operations per second – TOPS and it is reported to provide a 55% improved performance than the predecessor. It also comes with the Snapdragon Oryon CPU and the same will make the chipset more power efficient, powerful, and productive with its generative AI models.
The chipset is also believed to come with 12 high-performance cores clocked at 3.8GHz and a dual-core boost of 4.3GHz along with Qualcomm Adreno GPU with 4.6 TFLOPs and DX12 API support. It will be supporting LPDDR5x RAM offers 42MB of total cache and 136 GB/s memory bandwidth for its capacity to support 64 GB memory.
It is also expected to feature WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 for connectivity and the Video Processing Unit is said to support AV11 encoding and decoding.
