Chinese search engine company Baidu has unveiled a smart fitness mirror.The mirror is basically a large screen the size of a full-length mirror.
In fact, when the gadget is turned off, it is no different from a normal full-length mirror. However, when it is turned on, the 43-inch IPS screen attached to the bottom of the mirror illuminates. Also, like a fitness coach, an AI-powered virtual coach appears on the screen to guide the user through the various fitness conditions in real time.
Mirror comes with LTE connectivity so users can follow celebrity coaches, interact with AI and enjoy the joys of fitness in the process. It’s also a social way to check in with friends.
Based on the specifications, the Baidu Smart Fitness Mirror is equipped with a custom wide dynamic sensor, it enhances imaging capability by 40% in low light conditions and supports a 144 super-wide angle. The mirror can record 2K 60fps images and easily capture large movements during exercise.
The device has a built-in octa-core AI processor with 3 tops computing power, which can accurately capture operations and perform motion correction. The smart fitness mirror can detect the movements of the human body and thereby assess whether the movements are compliant and gradually complete the cycle of shaping the body in an accurate and scientific manner.
There is also a built-in professional al boutique class developed independently by Baidu. The class is constantly updated every week, allowing users to enjoy private lessons with Super A Gold coaches right from the comfort of their own home.
Baidu Smart Fitness Mirror has a Pioneer version priced at 4,199 Yuan (~ $ 662) and a flagship version priced at 4699 Yuan (~ $ 740)
