If you are an Android user, you must’ve come across this confusing situation to pick a third- party file manager. Organizing your files is no joke in Android, especially if you’re an extreme user and used to have tons of photos and videos. So, Google has come up with its own way of a solution to solve this long time problem, launching their very own app Google Files Go.
A listing for the app is now live in the Play Store, but if you try to download it, a message will tell you the app is part of an early access program, which is currently full. You can still check out screenshots and a description of the app’s features. It says that Google Files Go will be able to offer suggestions to users for apps they can delete that they no longer use, and it can also help find and remove any duplicated images or files that you have stored on your drive. In addition, you will be able to view all your files in one spot and filter them by source.
Besides, the app will have a way to help users transfer files to a friend’s handset while offline. This move seems to be a part of the Android Go program that was first announced at Google I/O 2017 in May to increase the fluidity of budget smartphones with low memory and storage.
As of now, we have no clear indications when this app will officially be launched in the Android market.
