The Mountain View company Google has confirmed to remove 17 features from Google Assistant and the new implementation will be effective from January 26. The company says that it is improving the quality and reliability of the service. The new implementation is also said to make things easy to use Google Assistant across devices. So without making any further delay let’s get into the article to check out the features that Google will be removing on January 26.
Google will not enable you to control audiobooks on Google Play Books by voice but you can able to cast them from your mobile. You will not able to manage cookbook on Google Assistant. But you can search the same online and on YouTube.
You will not be able to set media, music, or radio alarms on Google Assistant devices. But you can create a custom Routine or use a standard alarm. The company will also retire the stopwatch management on Smart Displays and Speakers and you will no longer can make voice calling a device or broadcasting to your Google Family Group.
Sending emails, video, or audio messages with your voice will no longer be available on the board and there will be no more asking about contact information. There will be no more App Launcher in Google Assistant driving mode on Google Maps for messages and calls and the company is also removing the voice control for activities for Fitbit Sense and Versa 3 devices. The company will not show caller ID for the calls from speakers and Smart Displays. Voice-checking personal travel itineraries will be history and the voice actions such as sending payments, making reservations, or posting on social media will no longer be supported.
