The Google Play Store opens the door to millions of applications but some developers play the dirty game by uploading malicious applications. The dedicated team of Google always checks the applications on the board to ensure the safety of the customers and now we got a new piece of information which is revealing that Google has recently banned 36 malicious Android apps from the Google Play Store.
The applications are very harmful and they can perform unwanted functions even without the knowledge of the user. The applications were spotted by McAfee, who found a software library called Goldoson that could collect information from the user’s phone, such as lists of installed applications, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth device information, and GPS locations. It is also said that it is capable to perform ad fraud by clicking on ads in the background without the knowledge of users.
Over 60 applications were spotted with this malicious library and the same is having over 100 million downloads. Google responded quickly and removed 36 applications from the Google Play Store while the remaining applications. You can check the complete list of applications by heading over the link.
