The search engine giant Google always pays huge importance to the privacy of users and now the company has introduced a new policy in the Google Play Store and the same will delete user data.
The applications that enable app account creation facility have to take care of the new policy as the developers need to offer an option to provide an option to initiate account and data deletion from within the app and online. The new set up will enable users to request account and data deletion without having to reinstall an app.
The new policy is saying that when a request to delete an account, the guys behind the application must delete the data associated with that account. Google is also offering the option to developers to provide a choice: users can choose to delete only some data (such as activity history, images, or videos) instead of completely deleting the account. If a developer to get some data for a valid reason then it needs to be clearly disclosed.
Google has also set a deadline and the maximum deadline for the new implementation is March 31, 2024.
