ISRO is all set to start a new machine and its LVM3 will be launching tonight with 36 Broadband Communication Satellites and the 24 hours countdown has been started. The newest rocket is capable of launching 4 tonne class of satellite.
ISRO’s heaviest rocket Launch Vehicle Mark 3 (LVM3) is ready with 36 broadband communication satellites and the mission will start from Sriharikota spaceport and the ‘LVM3 – M2/OneWeb India-1 Mission’ is scheduled at midnight of October 22.
OneWeb is a private satellite communications company, and NewSpace India Limited (NSIL) – a central public sector enterprise under the Department of Space, and previously earlier signed two launch service contracts with the OneWeb.
It is worth mentioning that the newest rocket is capable of launching 4 tonne class of satellite to Geosynchronous Transfer orbit (GTO). For those unaware, the LVM3 is a three-stage vehicle with two solid motor strap-ons and the same has a liquid propellant core stage along with a cryogenic stage.
