The popular Chinese brand Xiaomi’s Indian back born Manu Kumar Jain recently visited the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), and shared a photo with the head of the agency Dr. K Sivan and also confirmed that the company is working on a smartphone which will feature an amazing technology which is developed by the Indian agency.
Manu Kumar Jain, Managing Director of Xiaomi India has confirmed that the company is working on a smartphone that will feature the ISRO developed NaVIC Navigation System. Having said that, it will be the first device that will feature the same and the company also confirmed that it will be launched under the Redmi branding.

The ISRO developed NaVIC Navigation System is the regional geo-positioning system and the same will provide accurate positioning in India and around the Indian mainland. The Indian developed system is also considered to be at par with the very popular US-based GPS.
