TechnoBugg’s Best Of 2019 – Flagship Smartphones

In 2019 we have seen value smartphones are getting a lot of attention and that’s fair because why spend the hefty amount when we are getting a similar value at half the price. But does that mean the premium flagship smartphones are not worth its the price? Well, definitely not because there are some aspects like camera, software support, and brand value are better in premium flagships.

So here we are with our last Best of 2019 list, and it’s about the Best 5 Flagship Smartphones. The starting price for this list is ₹40,000 and that goes beyond infinity. Not actually infinity but there will be no budget limit. We are not going to rank the smartphones, we are just listing our pick for best 5 flagship smartphones. So without further delay, let’s look at the TechnoBugg’s Best 5 Flagship Smartphones Of 2019:

• Apple iPhone 11 Series:

Apple is a synonym of premium smartphones from the start of this decade. And nothing is different this year as well. With iPhone 11 series Apple stepped up from their previous camera quality a lot, especially in video recording. They finally added triple camera setup in their top tier models. Even the lowest end iPhone 11 don’t have a lot of compromises, and that’s should be your choice if you can’t go over a lakh and want an iPhone. The new A13 bionic chipset is industry leading and maybe even the latest Snapdragon 865 is below in terms of raw performance. The pricing of all three are same as the predecessor. So the iPhone 11 series is a complete step up as compared to it’s predecessors.

• Samsung Galaxy Note 10+:

This year was a gem for Samsung because they excelled in every segment. And while the flagships are always on their positive sides, this year Samsung did some great improvements. The Galaxy Note 10+ is a complete package with just one compromise it did i.e. the removal of headphone jack. With this Samsung is also on the path of no headphone jack flagships, just like other players. It has one the best cameras we ever saw till date. Samsung has used it’s ToF sensor very well, in terms of augmented reality. The S-Pen is improved just like every other year. It is the first Samsung flagship to support 45W fast charging, though in the box we only get 25W charger. At the starting price of ₹79,999 this is surely the premium most Galaxy Note till date.

• OnePlus 7 Pro:

This year OnePlus made it’s debut from value flagship to actual flagship with OnePlus 7 Pro. At the launch price of ₹48,990 it was the premium most OnePlus we ever saw. Though there were few compromises like wireless charging support and IP certification, it offered the best value in flagships. It is the first OnePlus smartphone to have Quad HD+ resolution, 90hz refresh rate, pop-up camera, triple camera setup, wide angle lens, 30W charging, and HDR10+ display. So you see it was a very big jump for a OnePlus. Even though few fans were disappointed with the price, it was still offering the best value.

• Samsung Galaxy S10/S10+:

As I said before, it’s been a good for Samsung. And it all started with their Galaxy S10 series, especially the regular Galaxy S10 & S10+. And one thing which makes it special against Galaxy Note 10 series is that it is last Samsung flagship having 3.5mm jack. It had one of the best camera hardware at the time of launch, and even now it is one of the best camera out there. Design wise I prefer the regular Galaxy S10 more because it has just single punch hole camera, whereas the Plus variant has dual punch holes. In terms of fast charging it only supports up to 15W output. But apart from that it is one of the best Galaxy S series launch till date.

• Google Pixel 4/4 XL:

Now last but not least here is Google’s Pixel 4 series which once again sets a new benchmarks in terms of software processing in camera. Now both the devices has dual camera setup at the back, and that secondary lens is telephoto lens. It has Snapdragon 855 inside and the base RAM is 6GB. But still the base storage is 64GB, which is a bit low for 2019 flagship. The Pixel 4 series has of course one of the best and latest software in the market. It has the new motion sense technology which helps for 3D face unlocking, but the same feature blocked their way to release this smartphone in India. Because the hardware used for motion sense is not permitted for public use in India. But still for rest of the world, it’s one of a kind smartphone of 2019.

• OnePlus 7T Pro
