Google’s Find My Device system is one of the very useful features of the Mountain View company Google and the same helps us to find our stolen devices but it has limitations. The developers are now gearing up to fix the problem by introducing a new API that will be helping you to find your devices even it is switched off.
Google is introducing a new Powered off Finding API in Android 15 which will be official in the third quarter of this year. The new API will be helping you to locate devices even when the device is turned off. The system works by storing pre commuted Bluetooth beacons within the memory of the Bluetooth controller.
Having said that, to get the power of the new feature the devices requires specialized hardware and we also believe that there could be a demand for a small reserve battery to operate the feature.
It is believed that the upcoming Google Pixel 9 will debut the new capability and it is also reported that the current Google Pixel 8 will also get the new feature.
So let’s wait for the arrival of the new feature in Android 15 and you guys are recommended to stick with us for more updates from the world of technology.
