5G connectivity is dominating the entire world and today we got a new piece of information that says a joint effort of three popular brands achieved an impressive 5G speed. The telecom giant Vodafone along with the popular chipset maker Qualcomm and the Chinese electronics giant Xiaomi are the three brands in the mission.
It is officially announced that the successful test of new 5G technology achieved impressive download speeds of nearly 1.8 gigabits-per-second (Gbps). It was conducted in Germany and Spain, and the tests utilized a more efficient data transmission method called 1024 quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM), and the same is an upgrade from the current 256 QAM system.
The new technology will be offering users more data to be packed into each transmission and the same will also provide faster download speeds as well. For testing purpose, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X75 5G Modem-RF System were used. Vodafone is expecting to roll out the new technology by next year which means 2025.
