2018 is just a few days away and by the time the world is getting ready to bid a goodbye to 2017, let’s take a look at the apps which made my smartphone experience better which I think could also make your experience better with your smartphone. The list is not arranged in any particular manner or stack but selected on a random basis. So the preference is purely subjective.
Always on AMOLED:
The first app on our list is Always ON AMOLED. If your smartphone boasts an AMOLED display as mine, certainly this app is meant for you. This app is nothing but an advanced version of other native lock screen display apps such as Moto display or Samsung’s Always on displays but with a whole range of customizable options.
Wall of fame:
The Google Play store is filled with numerous wallpaper apps to colour up your home screen. And this is one is not just one of them which comes with some very minimalistic user interface. Navigating through the app is as easy as it could be and the Wallpapers are no-brainers. Give it a try.
ColorNote:
ColorNote is another app which helps make a note of anything and everything you see. Making a note is simpler and you can even set an alarm or a timely reminder to alert you on time. You can also theme the app according to your preference.
Navbar Apps:
Android is meant for customization, isn’t it? Now, the navigation bar is a boring thing which occupies the valuable space in your screen. What if you could use it for purpose and make it shine like a star. So, as the name suggests this is an app to customize the looks of your navigation bar. You can add colours, layers, battery percentage and even an image if you want in your navigation bar. But my favourite part is the option to bring on an Equalizer to your navbar.
Files Go:
Off late, Google is coming up with some apps which intend to make your overall user experience better. One such app is Google Files Go. This app acts as a cleaner and wipes out the unwanted apps and obsolete apk files to free up the valuable storage. Worth giving a try and it really works.
Glassdoor:
This is basically a job searching site which helps you filter jobs based on your preference like Salary, City, Experience and much more. But what makes this interesting is the ability to rate jobs and companies. This app almost has every company listed in its database and users or employees can rate the companies or designation either anonymously or with identity. So, if you’re a youngster in search of a job, definitely worth giving a try.
Pixel Icon pack:
Launchers are incomplete with a proper and cool icon pack, aren’t they? If you like to play around with your home screen and keep changing the icon packs, then this is the one for you. With a mere 30 MB size, this app has a collection of over 6000+ icons made for almost every common app we use. The library is so large that you will not be able to use even even 1/10th of them. But bigger is always better right. And more importantly its completely free of cost and you can apply it on top of any custom third party launcher.
Google Opinion Rewards:
Opinion rewards is Google’s solution one stop solution for its users who cannot afford to buy paid apps or games in Android market. Once installed, the app will periodically notify you to ask you some questions. You’ll get credit for use in the Google Play Store every time you answer a survey. That credit can go toward buying yourself apps or games in Google Play. It’s a great way to expand your collection without spending real money.
Night Screen:
This app may come handy if you’re reading this article in the night with no light surrounded you. This does nothing but dims the brightness if your screen in such a way that it doesn’t affect your eye balls directly. This might not sound effective but does a fabulous job in reducing the eye strain and I have personally experienced it.
Gboard:
The last but not the least app on our list is the Google’s Gboard. Google keyboard had been a boring thing to use for a long time but this year Google has given a much needed revamp to the UI which makes it a delight to use. From theming the keyboard to GIF and Google Assistant support the Gboard has simply outdone the rivals this year. You can also translate the text you type without needing head to the Translate app. A cool thing isn’t it?.
