The Google Go search app will be pre-installed with the Android Oreo (Go Edition) along with the Google Files Go app. And, as I mentioned above the app, is designed for entry-level devices which means it will be lighter and faster which have low RAM and storage. And the app is tailor-made for people in India and Indonesia that are coming online for the very first time.
In terms of size, the Google Go app is just 5 MB and it has tap-first UI which allows users to navigate around by typing less and tapping more. The Google Go app also features a trending section and it also offers smart suggestions to the users so that they can search faster.
Moreover, the app also allows users to search for images and GIFs with ease. And the app is multi-lingual and supports ten Indian languages like Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu – in addition to English. Speaking about language, the Google Go app also lets users switch and see search results in different languages.
