The emoji pack for Messenger is released in June 2016 and different from the one in facebook. The new change will be effective to all the platforms. The Desktop Messenger and Android users will get standard Facebook emoji and iOS will use the standard iOS emoji.
This fragmentation of emoji for different cause was created by Facebook back in years when they started rolling out the own set off emoji. Even several manufacturers create their very own set of Emoji’s to be unique from other manufacturers. This un-uniform set of emoji brings confusions always but Facebook is trying to make things equal and clear.
This thing will complicate things as if you send any emoji from Android to iOS but facebook resembles the same style emoji on both platforms, this update will be on the floor slowly.
