On World Emoji Day google farewells the famous bubbly Android Emoji’s fondly called as Blobs by fans. Google planned to roll out new set of emoji as a part of Android O. Android O is said to have a bit more traditional emoji apart from blobs.
Google has planned to release a new set of Universal Emoji for all like what it is in iPhone. Google on their blog related to Blob Post is a letter to Google’ s Blobs telling about the blobs have to move out of their way for no clear reason. It is a very sad send off letter to blobs by Google. Google posted about killing the blobs saying that.
“By formalizing the shape, grid, representation, and color, we were able to unify the set while retaining expressiveness and character. By creating a strong design system we also addressed a major shortcoming in our old style, and we enabled the emoji to be created by more than one illustrator while remaining consistent, legible, understandable, and representative in any context”.
Each and every Android fan prefers Google’s Blob Emojis they also use them as default emoji setup. The blob emoji is one of the unique art work from Google. By killing the blobs google also feels bad about it. Google is missing the blobs in Android O. They expressed their feeling by blob post on their website. The blob letter is followed by,
Dear Blob,
I see it all now that you’re gone.
We were both young when I first saw you… I said, “it’s a love story, Blobby just say yes.”
Now, you lost that blobbin’ feeling. Blobversation has run dry—that’s what’s going on. Oh Blobbie, I couldn’t have tried anymore. Blame it on the blob.
Once upon a time, I was falling in blob, and now you’re just some blobby that I used to know.
It’s time we had the talk. Blob, bye.
Although we’ve come to the end of the blob, I want you to know you couldn’t have loved me blobber. I’ve had the blob of my life… you’ll always be my Blobby.

I think Google has made a big mistake by eliminating the most loved emoji sets in Android World. Google has reported as they are going to replace them with safer and cookie cutter emojis in future.
The blob stickers will be provided by Google’s Allo messaging app but only a few user Allo when compared to another messaging app. This may also lead to draw people to use the unpopular app. Google cares about users so there will be any chance of getting them back in any form as optional emoji sets. Let’s wait for Google’s turn to make android users happy by bringing Blobs back to us.
