iQOO has officially unveiled the latest flagship offering called the iQOO 12 series in the market of China and the smartphone series includes the iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro. The newly announced iQOO 12 series features an AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 3,000 nits peak brightness, and HDR10 support. Now let’s check out the differences, the vanilla variant sports a 6.74-inch flat screen along with a 1.5K resolution whereas the Pro model features a 6.7-inch 2K display with curved edges. The display of both devices is integrated with an in-display fingerprint scanner.
The latest iQOO 12 has an IP64 rating whereas the iQOO 12 Pro comes with an IP68 certification. Speaking about the camera department, the iQOO 12 series features a triple rear camera setup and that includes a 50MP OIS-enabled 1/1.3 sensor of primary lens along with a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 64MP telephoto periscope unit with 3x optical zoom, 100x digital zoom as well as OIS support. It also features a 16MP front facing camera.
Under the hood, the iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro smartphones are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 mobile processor along with a dedicated e-sports Q1 chipset for an enhanced and immersive gaming experience.
The company packs the devices with up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. The smartphone series also features a large VC vapor chamber and a four-zone cooling system for heat dissipation. The iQOO 12 is backed by a 5,000mAh battery along with 120W wired charging and the Pro model houses a 5,100mAh battery with 120W wired and 50W wireless charging. The smartphone series is the first of the company to come with Android 14 out of the box and the devices are also having a layer of OriginOS 4 on top.
The iQOO 12 series also features an X-axis linear motor and dual stereo speakers. Regarding the connectivity options, the smartphone series supports USB-C port, Wi-Fi-7, NFC, IR Blaster, and Bluetooth 5.4.
In terms of pricing and availability, the latest iQOO 12 starts at CNY 3,999 for the base 12GB + 256GB options whereas the 16GB + 512GB and 16GB + 1TB variants are priced at CNY 4,299 and CNY 4,699 respectively. While the big brother with 16GB RAM option and 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage options are priced at CNY 4,999, CNY 5,499, and CNY 5,999 respectively. The devices are available in the market of China.
