Prasar Bharati has stepped into the digital entertainment segment by launching a brand new application called the Waves OTT and it will be available on mobile devices. The latest OTT platform will be offering all the important features including video-on-demand content as well as free gaming, radio streaming, and 65 live channels.
The latest platform is currently available in over 12 languages, including Hindi, English, Marathi, Tamil, and Assamese. Waves will provide content from different categories including infotainment, gaming, education, and shopping.
It is also said that Prasar Bharati has collaborated with ONDC (Open Network for Digital Commerce) to integrate e-commerce capabilities and the platform will include content including fantasy titles Monkey King The Hero is Back, Fouja, Bhed Bharam, Fauji 2.0, Thode Door Thode Paas, Bharat Ka Amrit Kalash, and Kicking Balls. The platform will also offer content for little ones as the same will feature content including Chota Bheem, Tenaliram, Akbar Birbal, among others.
The service will also stream live events such as Prabhu Shriram Lalla Aarti from Ayodhya and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly Mann ki Baat address. The platform will also feature content from film schools like FTII and national creator awardees like Kamiya Jani. The platform has also collaborated with Lionsgate to provide video on demand.
