The Japanese electronics giant Sony has officially introduced a new Camera sensor called the Sony LYTIA LYT-818 50 megapixel sensor. It comes with the 1/1.28-type sensor and the same features cutting-edge noise reduction as well as a high dynamic range, improving image quality, especially in low-light conditions.
It also brings a technology that makes pictures in low-light conditions much clearer and the sensor uses an Ultra-High Conversion Gain (UHCG) circuit to convert light into an electrical signal more effectively, that will reduce unwanted noise or “graininess” in photos.
The latest Sony LYTIA LYT-818 comes with a new HDR (High Dynamic Range) technology and the same will be helping to capture details in both very bright and very dark areas. It also comes with a 1.22 µm unit cell size, Quad Bayer Coding color filter, and a maximum frame rate of 120 fps for 4K2K resolution. The sensor also supports analog, digital, and MIPI output interfaces. It is expected that this particular sensor will be available on the upcoming Vivo X200 Pro series.
