When Windows 11 was announced in 2021, the company introduced multiple new features and improvements and the support for Android applications was the most interesting implementation. Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA) was introduced and the same enabled users to enjoy Android applications on the computer and this eliminates the demand for third party Android emulators.
It is very sad to say that the feature was not made available across the world and the Indian users are still waiting for the same but the company has announced that the support for Android applications on Windows 11 has been stopped.
Microsoft users will not able to download applications from March 5 2024 but those who is still using the service can able to enjoy the same until March 5 2025.
There is no official confirmation about the reason behind the decision but we believe that it’s okay because users with the latest Android 14 operating systems of the popular smartphone brands like Samsung or OnePlus can able to use Android applications using Links to Windows application which is already available on the board.
