It is confirmed that the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has imposed a new mobile number porting (MNP) rule in India. The new rule will make mobile users to wait 7 days after getting a new physical SIM. That means you can only move to a new network only after 7 days of getting a new connection.
The newly created rule comes into effect from today i.e. July 1. Let’s hope that the new implementation of the government will prevent SIM swap fraud in the country.
