The world is trying to adopt 5G connectivity but Japan is one step ahead as a Japanese consortium recently introduced the world’s first high-speed 6G prototype device. The device is capable to transmit data at a whopping 100 gigabits per second (Gbps) and the same covering over 300 feet which is actually a 20x improvement over the current 5G technology.
It is worth mentioning that the prototype device is a result of partnership between Japan’s leading telecom companies such as DOCOMO, NTT Corporation, NEC Corporation, and Fujitsu.
The result is pretty impressive but don’t keep your expectations high because we will take a huge time to reach 60 connectivity as the current 5G is yet to be experienced at its original spirit. As the operators are not offering the actual speed of 5G at the moment.
Moreover, more research and development are required before the commercial roll out of the next generation connectivity option.
