AMD has officially announced its latest AMD Ryzen PRO series and the same features a cutting-edge combination of architectures that includes Zen 4 for CPUs, RDNA 3 for GPUs, and XDNA for NPUs.
The latest AMD processors can feature improvements in performance, power consumption, and AI capabilities. The same is built on the basis of 4nm manufacturing process and it is integrated with AMD PRO technology. The chipsets supporting the latest WiFi 7 standard and Bluetooth 5.4 for enhanced connectivity.
The Ryzen PRO 8040 series is meant for laptops and the HS series take care of content creators and mobile workstation users and the same will be offering chipsets including the Ryzen 9 PRO 8945HS with 8 cores, 16 threads, and a 4.0-5.2GHz clock speed. These HS series processors can manage demanding tasks but come with a higher power consumption rating ranging from 35W to 54W.
While the U series features the Ryzen 7 PRO 8840U and Ryzen 5 PRO 8640U boast similar core counts and clock speeds as the HS series. But it comes with a lower power consumption rating of 15W to 28W.
The desktop-focused Ryzen PRO 8000 series features G and GE. Both G and GE series offer Ryzen 7, 5, and 3 processors.
