AMD has officially introduced its latest AMD Ryzen 8000 series embedded processors and the same features the power of AI. The newly introduced processors of the company are the first to integrate a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) and the same is built on AMD’s XDNA architecture.
The latest AMD Ryzen 8000 is based on a cutting-edge 4nm process and the chipset series is combining Zen 4 CPU architecture, RDNA 3 architecture GPU, and the all-new XDNA architecture NPU. This will be making the new chipset series a powerhouse and the same can able to deliver a staggering 39 TOPS of AI computing power and the NPU itself offers 16 TOPS.
AMD Ryzen 8000 series also comes with 20 lanes of high-speed PCIe Gen 4 connectivity and it is also supporting dual-channel DDR5 5600 memory with error correction (ECC). It can also support four independent 4K displays along with hardware decoding and encoding support for popular video codecs such as AV1, H.264, and H.265.
The company is collaborating with embedded Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) partners like Advantech, ASRock, and iBASE.
